Where can we exchange our currency for local currency? 

Currency exchange services are available at the airport, banks, and licensed gold shops. The exchange rates are generally similar. It's advisable to avoid exchanging money with street money changers due to the higher risk associated with their rates.

 

How can we exchange leftover Vietnamese Dong into foreign currency before leaving Vietnam?

When leaving Vietnam, you can exchange leftover Vietnamese Dong (VND) into foreign currency by presenting the yellow customs declaration form that you received upon entry. The amount you exchange must be less than the amount you originally declared bringing into Vietnam.

What will happen if there is an emergency during our trip?

You will be taken to the nearest international clinic or hospital for immediate examination and appropriate treatment, depending on the terms of your insurance

Is the water safe for drinking during our trip in Vietnam?

You should be cautious when drinking in Vietnam. It's advisable to consume bottled beverages with well-known labels. During your excursion, Eco Nature Travel always provides bottled mineral water in the car/van for drinking. We highly recommend avoiding non-bottled water and beverages.

Should we eat out on the streets in Vietnam?

Vietnam is a country with a variety of traditional foods and a strong street food culture. Many Vietnamese prefer to eat out, so it's very common to see locals enjoying street food. Nowadays, famous restaurants offer specialty dishes that have been passed down through generations.

Street stalls and small restaurants serve traditional dishes for local tastes. For tourists who enjoy trying these street dishes, sometimes there are concerns about food safety. However, it's a great experience to try local Vietnamese dishes at street stalls and small restaurants that are recommended in guidebooks for safety.

Medical Precautions and Vaccinations when traveling to Vietnam?

Although no vaccinations are mandatory other than for yellow fever, Vietnam has a tropical climate, so there are some preventive measures to consider for your trip. Travelers should be vaccinated against typhoid, cholera, hepatitis A & B, tetanus, and polio.

Some sources on the internet mention malaria, especially when traveling to remote areas of Vietnam because malaria is present in these regions. We cannot provide you with an exact number, so we will consult a reputable local international clinic to provide the latest report and recommendations on the malaria situation.

What about travel insurance?

Our tour package price does not include insurance. Travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers. We advise travelers to purchase travel insurance from their country of residence before departure because it will be very useful in case of medical emergencies. Insurance will cover hospitalization and medical expenses, as well as expenses related to accidents or unforeseen illnesses that occur during your tour with us.

For precious jewelry, travelers should also purchase insurance.

 

Can we travel independently and freely in Vietnam?

This depends on the specific location you plan to visit. There are certain restrictions in certain areas due to security reasons, so you may need permission from local authorities. When you travel with Eco Nature Travel, we ensure that you will have the necessary paperwork for your visit.

Can we rent and ride a motorbike in Vietnam?

Yes, you can easily rent a motorbike for your travels in Vietnam. However, you officially cannot ride a motorbike without a Vietnamese license. It is recommended to travel with a local driver.
