Motorbike Tour in Central Vietnam

Am: Our guide welcomes you at your hotel in Hue City and acquaints you with the motorbike. You will have the opportunity to try riding it before embarking on the motorbike tour in central Vietnam. Depart from Hue for Quang Tri Province. First, you will visit Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River at the 17th Parallel, the landmark of division between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972. Learn more about how Vietnamese soldiers fought to create glorious chapters in history and visit the Museum, a small exhibition of historic objects from the war. Then, visit Vinh Moc tunnels – a network of tunnels built by villagers seeking shelter from bombings during the Vietnam War. This is the place where an entire village lived for two and a half years. Visiting these tunnels, you can see and admire the resilience of the Vietnamese people during the war. The complex includes wells, kitchens, rooms for each family, and spaces for healthcare. Return to Dong Ha town for lunch at a local restaurant.

Pm: This afternoon, you will continue riding to Highway No. 9 to Khe Sanh Combat Base – one of the most famous sieges of the American Vietnamese War. It was the site of a United States base that fell under attack in early 1968. You will see the old airfield, with remnants of red dirt still remaining. Visit the museum of Ta Con Airport to see the relics of the fierce war and learn about the brave fight of the people of Quang Tri against the enemy. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at a mini hotel in Khe Sanh.

Am: After breakfast, you continue riding motorbike to leave Khe Sanh and cross through Dakrong Bridge, the starting point of Highway 15, one of the main branches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail which leads south to A Roang commune, one of community based villages of A Luoi district. Along Ho Chi Minh Trails, you will have chance to stop at the hill tribes villages to get a first sight of the minority people here. On arrival in A Roang, visit the patriarch of village and listen to stories about the history and culture of the local Ta Oi ethnic group. Experience the traditional handicraft of Det Dzeng textile weaving with locals, to witness how the women weave their dresses or even admire the way they thread yarns on looms with their best tenacious efforts. This is a great chance for you to meet the locals, get closer to community culture. Have lunch with local cuisine made from Ta Oi people.

Pm: After lunch, you will leave A Luoi for Prao, a district in mountainous area of Dong Giang province. On the way, you will pass through the tea plantations and beautiful mountains. Check in mini hotel upon arrival and free to relax or walk around for more explore. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at a mini hotel in Prao.

Am : Get up early in the morning, our guide will take you around the village to experience the daily farming activities and the morning life of local people here as well as enjoy the fresh mountain air. Return to have breakfast. Then check out of your homestay and drive along the Ho Chi Minh trail to G’rang waterfall, one of the most beautiful and scenic spots in Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province. Following the unspoiled trails among the mountains to the falls, you can relax and swim in the pure water of the large lake where the stunning falls cascade down and enjoy the spectacular natural surroundings with lush greenery. Enjoy lunch after refreshing yourself.

Pm: After lunch, continue your way to Hoi An. On the way, you will have the chance to stop at fruit farms where you can take beautiful photos and have a short rest. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in Hoi An. Free to have your dinner. End of tour at your hotel.
