A Deep Impression of Hue Rural Life

AM: Our guide welcome you at your hotel in Hue Hue or Train Station and bring you to explore rural life in Thuy Bieu village. Take a cycling route around the village to discover the local life here, stop off at communal houses, ancient temples, local market and walk along shady paths to enjoy the green and peaceful sights of the village’s gardens. You will have chance to visit a local house where you can get to know how to make traditional incense sticks for using. Then visit the families where traditional silk painting & votive paper are made for more experience. Have lunch at a local house.

PM: In this afternoon, you will refresh yourself by a leisure dragon boat excursion along the waterway on the romantic Perfume river to visit Thien Mu Pagoda on the north bank of the river which is now the official symbol of the Hue city. Next, will find your way to Xuan Vien Tieu Cung, a beautiful gardens house in Hue with typical model of Hue garden architecture in a the harmonic combination with nature. From the main entrance, you will see a wooden house which are meticulously sculpted with elaborately carvings called “Nha ba gian”, a front yard, a fish pond and a beautiful garden surrounding. This became the most soothing stop in Hue where you can immerse yourself in nature with the peaceful and fresh atmosphere as well as get a clear view about historical sites in Hue. Through the beautiful and peaceful countryside of Hue, you will take the next stop at a special Tomb of a Mandarin named Vo Van Kien. This is one of the military mandarins served at royal court during the large period of 6 Kings in Nguyen Dynasty from Ham Nghi King to Khai Dinh King regine. All his properties during working time are used for building his tomb as the way in remembrance of his heroic period in the past. You then move to the local house in Kim Long village for check in homestay. Join in cooking class and enjoy authentic homecooked dinner with the host family. Stay overnight at homestay.

Am: Get up early to enjoy fresh air and feel the sounds of nature in the village. Have breakfast at your homestay. Then start pendaling along the road across green paddy fields to Thanh Toan village which is 8 km from the city center. On arrival, you will take a visit at famous Thanh Toan tile-roofed Bridge which is known as one of the ancient bridges with unique architectural styles in Vietnam. You will listen to the story about the person who built the bridge and its historical and cultural significance to local’s life. Visit a nearby argicultural museum displays Vietnamese farming tools and the local market where you can get a glimpse of real life in this rural village. From here, you will take a boat trip to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and experience fishing under the instruction of local fisherman, learn how to catch fish and shrimps with fishing net and get the sense of achievement. Then cycle around the village to get the deep insight of daily rural life and great outdoors here before heading to a local farmer house where you can experience farming activities in Hue. You will learn to plant some among typical vegetable trees of the farmer here such as sweet potato, chilli pepper or eggplant in their garden. Then take 15 minutes of herbal foot massage to relax yourself before having lunch at the local host family.

Pm: After lunch, you spend more time to relax at the garden and interact with the local family. Say goodbye to the family members and finish your trip today. We’ll drop you off at your hotel in Hue or Hue train station for next destionation. End of the tour.
